About

What is Narcotics Anonymous?

Narcotics Anonymous is a nonprofit fellowship of men and women for whom drugs had become a major problem. We are recovering addicts who meet regularly to help each other stay clean. This is a program of complete abstinence from all drugs. There is only one requirement for membership: the desire to stop using.

We are not affiliated with any other organizations, we do not follow any particular religious teaching, and we have no opinion on outside issues. Our program is based on simple principles, and our only interest is helping addicts recover and find a new way to live.

Our Area

Magnolia Midlands Area serves the Laurens County, Dodge county, Bleckley county, and the surrounding NA community. We’re one of many local areas within Georgia Region, working together with our regional and world service structure to support meetings, carry the message, and stay connected to the broader NA fellowship.

How We’re Organized

NA is guided by Twelve Traditions that protect the fellowship and keep our focus on recovery. Area committees like ours exist to support local groups, coordinating things like meeting lists, literature, hospitals & institutions panels, phone lines, and public information, all through group conscience and elected trusted servants who serve the fellowship, not lead it.

Anonymity

Anonymity is the spiritual foundation of all our traditions. What’s shared in meetings stays in meetings, and we protect the identity of our members at the level of press, radio, and film.
